Handloom Hand Wax Batik Murshidabad Mulberry Pure Silk Saree (Silk Mark Certified) Handcrafted in West Bengal, this saree features traditional Alpona motifs—symbols of auspicious beginnings and blessings—hand‑drawn using shoru tuli in vibrant yellow and red. The design rests on a cracked batik canvas, created through the age‑old manual wax‑resist dyeing technique, a heritage craft practiced for generations. Made from 100% pure mulberry silk, woven with 3‑ply yarn for superior strength, natural sheen, and a richer fall, it comes with an unstitched running blouse piece. Each saree takes 5–6 days of collaborative work by weavers, dyers, batik artisans, and finishers. By choosing this piece, you help sustain the Murshidabad silk tradition and hand batik craft, both deeply rooted in culture yet facing decline today—supporting artisan livelihoods and preserving a dying legacy.
